Fun Fact:

Paula Lugo, former mentor, is back as one of our Site Supervisors in our after school program. She is now a teacher at Belle Glade Elementary, but also wanted to return to First Serve. Paula was one of the high school students who started our mentoring program a few years ago, and describes First Serve as her "happy place".

Program Summary

The First Serve Belle Glade Chapter proudly employs First Serve Mentors and multiple supervisors, who serve in the departments of education, life skills, sports, transportation and safety. This chapter provides a Monday – Friday, after-school program for middle school and elementary-aged students.

Our Belle Glade Mentors, high-school and college students, invest in the lives of these children by helping them complete homework assignments, practicing reading and math skills, encourage exercise through sport-related activities, learn the importance of creativity through arts and crafts, and teach these children practical life skills such as resolving interpersonal conflicts and making healthy lifestyle choices.
